Finance responsibilities
・ Define, create, and oversee the implementation of the accounting and finance policy in compliance with the Malaysian law.
・ Coordinate and carry out day-to-day financial functions of the company.
• Maintain cash flow projections by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
• Handling full set accounts for the company.
• Prepare financial reports in compliance with the headquarters’requirements and Malaysian law.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete monthly employee expense reports.
• Assist management in budget formation and forecasting process.
Human Resources responsibilities
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with the Malaysian and Sarawak labour laws.
• Manage and carry out day-to-day full spectrum HR functions of the company such as:
o Handling the full recruitment process from sourcing, coordinating interviews, work permit applications, etc. up until the onboarding of new employees.
o Process and maintain monthly payroll and tax reports.
o Manage the implementation of employee welfare and benefits, monitoring usage, and review as and when needed.
o Assist HODs in identifying employee training needs and coordinating relevant training programmes.
o Handle employee disciplinary issues and advising the management on disciplinary actions in compliance with the labour law.
o Issuing relevant letters and memos to employees.
Other responsibilities
• Assist management in implementation of new IT systems related to the plant operations, such as the accounting system, payroll system, inventory management system, etc.
• Assist the factory GM in scheduling and work arrangements from time-to-time.
• Remain up to date on the latest news or amendments to the related regulations, such as the accounting law, tax regulations, labour law, immigration procedures, statutory requirements, etc.
• Any ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the management.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Human Resources/Business Administration or any other relevant fields of
study.
✓Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in Finance and HR.
✓Background in manufacturing plants or factory settings.
✓Preferably possessing knowledge in inventory/warehousing systems.
✓Able to work independently with minimum support due to company being a new establishment.
✓Language: English, Bahasa Malaysia. Japanese speakers are at an added advantage, but not mandatory.
✓Willing to work in Samalaju.
