・Handle and manage the accounting & finance functions
(Ensure proper management of all accounting processes, financial records, and operations.)
・ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for top management
(Including budget variance analysis, financial performance assessments, and forecasts.)
・ Analyze financial reports and propose solutions/strategies for company problems/goals
(Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.)

・Audit and tax management
(Supervise internal and external audits, coordinate with auditors, ensure tax compliance and timely filing.)

・Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls
(Create and enforce financial procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.)

・ Oversee and manage the budgeting process
(Lead the preparation of annual budgets and ensure alignment with company goals.)

・Handle cash flow management and financial forecasting
(Ensure adequate liquidity, plan for future financial needs, and manage risk exposure.)

・ Participate in strategic planning and business development discussions
(Provide financial insights for business planning, cost management, and growth strategies.)

・ Oversee accounts receivable collection
(Monitor and manage the collection of outstanding receivables, ensure timely payments from clients, follow up on overdue accounts, and manage bad debt provisions.)

・ Liaise with external stakeholders such as HQ in Japan and banks

・ Oversee the accounting and financial system and IT department

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
(A Master's degree or MBA with a focus on finance or accounting is a plus.)

✓Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong track record in senior accounting roles, such as Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Financial Controller.

✓ At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role (managing teams, leading financial strategy, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and financial operations).

✓ Experience with financial reporting in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

✓Extensive experience in managing accounting systems (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or other financial software).

✓ Experience in tax compliance and regulatory reporting under Malaysian tax laws.

✓Leadership and team management skills to lead and develop the accounting team, foster collaboration, and drive performance.

✓Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to top management, stakeholders, and investors.

✓ Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues, senior management, clients, and external parties.

✓Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and draw actionable conclusions.

✓Problem-solving mindset to address financial challenges and propose effective solutions.

✓Fluency in both English and Malay
