• Provide guidance and leadership in the development of Legal Shared Services Team for Malaysia Group Companies

• Review, vet and draft business contracts and legal documents, including supporting negotiations of business contracts.

• Liaise with business functions and provide general legal support and sound advice to mitigate legal risks

• Provide legal support and advice related to corporate projects such as business reorganisation

• Ensure proper administration and management of contracts and legal documents

• Assist in the management of potential legal disputes and litigation(includes monitoring progress of litigation cases)

• Provide assistance to personnel in charge of compliance in Group Companies in ensuring compliance

• Assist and support compliance investigations

• Liaise with solicitors, government departments and external parties on legal matters

• Prepare and submit regular reporting of legal jobs

• Carry out ad hoc related projects, assignments and administrative tasks as assigned and instructed by the immediate superior from
time to time.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable university.

✓Certificate in Legal Practice or its equivalent

Skills & other conditions required;
✓Minimum 3-5 years post qualification experience handling litigation and corporate/commercial work in manufacturing industry

✓Experience in labour, intellectual property and/or corporate secretarial matters are added advantage.

✓Proactive, resourceful, strong follow up and able to work independently and as a team.

✓Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively with interdepartmental team, stakeholders, external counsels and advisors.

✓Possess good drafting and analytical skills

✓Strong command of written & spoken English and Bahasa Melayu

✓Self-Starter, creative, pro-active and enthusiastic.

✓Computer literate in Microsoft Office (including Powerpoint and Excel).

✓High ethical standards and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

✓Required to rotate working premise between different locations in Shah Alam
