Primary Role
・Acting as a bridge between merchandising team and store team, to align on business direction and product strategy, ensuring all related initiatives are properly implemented.

・ Coordinate and align with cross-functional teams (marketing, VM, buying, merchandise planning, retail, etc) to ensure merchandise information are properly communicated to both internal and external customers.

・Provide timely merchandise feedback and market intelligence to top management in HQ and local business team for business performance
improvement.

・ Monitoring the merchandise allocation to store and propose appropriate pricing and promotion to ensure the inventory in market is properly
managed, enabling business targets on GP%, GP amount (RM) and Sell thru across all categories are met.

・To introduce cosmetic & beauty brand to consumers and present the products in the best way possible.

・Develop cosmetic & beauty merchandising strategies to set brands a level above competitors, and make a positive impression on everyone that interacts with merchandising team - customer and retail management alike. The idea of beauty merchandising is making waves in the cosmetics department.

・Has a strong market sense as a business driver.

・Prepare commercial plans to achieve sales, margin and penetration targets

Duties and Responsibilities:-

1) Merchandising
・Provide market insight to design and buying team in Headquarter to support product development.

・ Keep products and displays relevant to customer’s interests

・Conduct regular market research and competitors’ analysis to evaluate brand’s market position and to identify its SWOT in the market, provide timely feedback to management.

・ Monitor the amount of product being sent out to store and keep an eye on the timing of product delivery and optimize the business opportunity. In order to do all of these things, cosmetic & beauty manager live by trends, stock levels, and consumer feedback reports.

・ To review market-specific buy plans from different perspectives, ensuring category mix, color and style are along the company direction.

・ Prepare weekly business report to monitor sales performance, identify best/worst sellers and the factors contributive to the result.

・Drive cross-functional team alignment (marketing, VM, buying, merchandise planning, retail operations, etc) to ensure the brand / product
marketing consistency within the market.

・ Conduct product training for sales staff.

・ Work with marketing on promotion and driving brand equity.

・ Conduct store visit and reports.

・ To lead product performance reviews after product launches within the market.

2) Inventory management
・Manage both current season and off-season inventory to achieve company target.

・ Propose promotion, discount, markdown, transfer, consolidation, and replenishment based on target.

・ Analyze and identify the trends and causes behind any risks or opportunities.

・ Develop & evolve sustainable processes and reporting tools to provide solutions, co-creating with technical functions to aid in inventory optimization.

・ Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes or clear outs in order to maximize profit and to ensure optimal sell through rates.

・ Control stocks flow including ensuring quality and timely stock arrival.

・ Monitor and managing stock allocations to outlets and interpret sales forecast.

・ Merchandiser planning for all new stock arrival to stores based on their sales volume, specific market need, location, spending power and
seasonal buying pattern.

・ Manage inventory levels by planning new buying and replenishment.

・ Monitor aged stocks and moved to clearance category.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓Minimum a Diploma/Degree in any discipline

✓ Candidate with minimum 5 years’ experience in the cosmetic & beauty or fashion industry is strongly preferred. Having a passion for beauty, always keep up to date with the latest trends is highly advantageous as well.

✓ With consumer-centric mindset and attitude.

✓ Proactive; well organized combined with objective setting, analytical and managerial skills.

✓ Strong interpersonal, communication & presentation skills and problemsolving skill.

✓ Team player with an interest in innovating, collaborating and excel in a fast-paced environment.

✓ Able to work in a multicultural environment combined with a drive to bring innovative ideas, best practices.

✓ Detail-minded, able to work independently and under a tight schedule.

✓ She/he has a “Can do” attitude in whatever challenge.

✓ Computer literate and possess strong analytical skills
