Japanese/English Translator, Interpreter and Administrator for business operations in Malaysia, the position holder is required to facilitate conversation between Japanese and local engineers and ensure that the translations or interpretations are accurately performed.

■Interpretation:

• Provide high proficiency level of interpretation between Japanese engineers and local engineers during daily business operations.

• Follow Japanese engineers to client’s manufacturing plant to closely support all business-related conversation.



■Translation:
• Provide high proficiency level of language translations (from English to Japanese and vice versa) on a variety of business documents

• Translate documents such as product technical information, work instructions, technical check sheets, action plans, bulletins, emails, special training materials and official documents from Japanese to English.

■Logistics Administration:

• Handle logistics inventory and process internal delivery orders and arrangement of parts
installations

• Liaise with forwarders in shipment process and administer the import/export documents

• Handle expenses and sales invoices and process daily order processing with various
departments

• Assist in monthly stock-take for parts and conduct physical check on parts for recycling and
repair

• Provide sales support, such as preparing service quotation, provide shipping schedule advice
and preparations of reports

• Prepare parts and service quotation and shipping schedule advice to customers

■Administrative assistance

• Support expats and visitors as required, including:

• Work permit applications (collaborating with HR section).

• Assistance with issues when coming arriving or leaving Malaysia.

• Travel arrangements, booking hotel/apartment, dealing with issues/changes.

• Tracking arrival and departure of visitors to customer’s site.

• Accompanying expats to appointments (e.g. registration/housing/medical/bank etc.).

• Other ad-hoc duties assigned

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓Diploma or Degree in translation, interpretation, business administration or any relevant field

✓ At least 3 years of related working experience

✓ Proficient in Business Japanese (JLPT N2-1)

✓High proficiency in spoken and written English

✓ Excellent computer skills including MS Office

✓ Possess a Malaysian driving license
