A hands-on position managing parts handling and logistics. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to inventory control/planning; materials handling; service parts fulfillment; import/export activities, third party warehousing, JSOX compliance and domestic shipping/receiving. Makes recommendations for action and assists in policy and procedure implementation; Performs related work as assigned; Works with Engineering, Field Service, and Corp HQ in Japan to develop spares and procurement planning balancing between financials and customer support requirements.
• Manage internal and external customer facing supply chain programs and deliverables.
• Manage programs, systems, data bases, processes (workflow) and staff to ensure continuous improvement.
• Manage department procurement process, planning and quarterly reporting.
• Manage filings of all DO and updating parts/tools movement notebook.
• Manage staff in developing procurement plans for spares within budget guidelines.
• Manage inventory valuation processes such as inventory reserves, disposal and other related financials.
• Communicate with warehouse team for store/warehouse duties, including receiving, packing of goods, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipment.
• Supporting goods transportation during weekends for emergency requests.
• Conducting a perpetual inventory stock count as and when from Sales/Admin.
• Contribute to meeting supply chain financial targets.
• Evaluate effectiveness of materials and logistics management operations systems and processes. Make improvement recommendations. Manage approved projects and drive through to completion.
• Collaboration with technical team to maximize inventory efficiencies
• Determine root cause and corrective action for any logistics related system/process driven failures
• Collect data and generate monthly scoring report for 3rd party logistics provider
• Identify non-conformity issues that impact efficiency of logistics operations and customer satisfaction
• Responsible for compliance to JSOX and Financial related processes (internal/external audits)
• First point of escalation for issues and inquiries from NPM engineers and customer buyers
• Creating parts' hit rate list for customers under service contract.
• Ensuring draw parts' usage status with engineers.
• Updating non-returned bad parts status that are sold under exchange condition to engineers.
• Ensuring inventory accuracy (NPM Stocks, WWPC Consignment Stocks, etc) and conducting periodic physical counts every month.
• Delivering DO and Service reports to customers to obtain their acknowledgement.
• System data entry (Beeline) for incoming goods.
• Other duties as required
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓ Degree in Logistic Management / Business Management or equivalent
✓ At least 3 years of experience in logistics / fulfillment operations
✓ Highly proficient in spoken and written English and Japanese language to communicate and work closely with Japan HQ on logistics, parts control and sales support related matters
✓ Proficient in Microsoft Office
✓ Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
✓ Hands-on expertise in packing, shipping, inventory, tracking and quality control procedures
