・To operate, monitor, maintain, and trouble-shoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes.

・To disinfect and deodorize water and other liquids. Operate chemical and biological processing or water treatment systems or equipment.

・Inspect equipment or monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to determine load requirements and detect malfunctions. Inspect production equipment.

・Collect and test water and sewage samples, using test equipment and color analysis standards.

・Test chemical or physical characteristics of materials or products. Collect samples of materials or products for testing.

・Record operational data or meter and gauge readings on specified forms. Record operational or production data.

・Operate and adjust controls on equipment to purify and clarify water, process or dispose of sewage.

・Operate chemical and biological processing or water treatment systems or equipment.

・Maintain, repair, and lubricate equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

・Maintain production or processing equipment. Lubricate production equipment.

・Clean and maintain tanks, filter beds, and other work areas, using hand tools and power tools. Clean work areas. Clean production equipment. Maintain production or processing equipment.

・On call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the plant and pump stations.

・ Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process, and storm water and sludge management.

・Perform all work in conformance to Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations.

・Control WWTP inventory chemical stock and purchase.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Environmental Technology or related

✓4 to 5 years related working experience

✓Certified competent person in Operation of IETS-Physical Chemical Processes (CePIETSO-PCP) or Biological Processes (CePIETSO-BP) – mandatory must have the certificate as competent person

✓Speak native level of Bahasa Malaysia & good in English.
