JOB DETAILJob Details

・Responsible to fix and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Accountable for minimizing machine downtime, and
performing regular M&E services and maintenance works for factory operations and all building facilities. Ensure compliance with the relevant machinery and facilities laws and regulations at all times.

・Ensure compliance with the relevant machinery and facilities laws and regulations i.e. Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia, TNB, Bomba, Machinery Department, DOE, JBA, DOSH and etc

・Responsible for the supervision, guidance, and engagement of the maintenance team.

・Train and lead others to perform preventive maintenance functions, standards, and minimize the services of outside contractors.

・Assist, coordinating service provided by external contractors to service and maintain for air conditioning firefighting system, cooling tower, water pump, and vacuum pump whenever necessary.

・Check and inspect electrical facilities to ensure that they are effective and safe to be used for operation. Regular inspection of vacuum circuit breaker/Air circuit breaker.

・Transformer oil level, temperature, and gas level checking and keeping substation clean.

・Check and inspect machines or equipment conditions daily to ensure that they are effective and safe for usage. Prompt action is taken to repair machinery / replace parts.

・Work closely with the Energy Manager in developing and implementing measures to ensure efficient management of electrical energy.

・Responsible for troubleshooting, electrical faults or problems, repairing, servicing, maintenance, and installation work.

・Check air compressor condition daily and be in charge of its maintenance.

・Work closely with Production Manager to achieve the department goals, minimize machine downtime, smooth operations, cost efficiency and etc.

・Assist with project management of all related building changes and expansions, including modifications/improvements to the building system.

・Maintain accurate records regarding routine inspection and preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment, machines, facilities, and daily work/ project logs.

・Prepare monthly report to supervising engineer on electrical status.

・Preparing and documenting daily maintenance logs and downtime reports.

・Keep a stock list for machine parts and accessories. Conduct Auditing, including Safety/ ISO Internal Audit.

・Participate in budget preparation.

・Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the immediate Superior from time to time.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired

✓Possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from any recognized institution and with a BO Chargeman Certificate issued by the Energy Commission of Malaysia.

✓A minimum of 7 years of technical and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

✓Possess leadership skills and able to lead a team to excel in work challenges and thrives for efficiency.

✓Good troubleshooting, proactive and problem-solving skills, resourceful, attention to detail, good judgment and decision making, and a sense of urgency.

✓Good communication skills, ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

✓Proficient in MS. Office i.e. Word, and Excel.

✓Physically fit and willing to work at odd hours, especially during holidays, weekends, and after office hours, and attend to call back for maintenance as and when necessary.
