This company enters the Malaysian market for the first time, we are seeking a dedicated Interpreter to support communication between Japanese Directors and local Malaysian managers/staff. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth daily operations, effective knowledge transfer, and cross-cultural understanding during the start-up phase and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide real-time interpretation (Japanese ⇄ English) during internal meetings, training sessions, and operational discussions between Japanese Directors and local team members
Translate business documents, SOPs, manuals, emails, and reports accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with communication during store setup, hiring, marketing, and merchandising coordination
Serve as a cultural bridge to facilitate mutual understanding between Japanese expatriates and Malaysian staff
Support external communication or events involving Japanese-speaking stakeholders when needed
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓ Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) Rate 7-8
✓ Strong command of English (spoken and written)
✓ Minimum 5 years of experience in interpretation and/or translation work
✓ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✓ Who can business trip to Johol
✓ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
