・ Lead sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers to meet the company's purchasing and operational requirements.
・ Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
・ Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation.
・ Monitoring and managing inventory levels to maintain efficient stock control.
・ Liaising with the internal sales team to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
・ Analysing purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
・ Ensuring compliance with the company's purchasing policies, procedures, and Sales and Service Tax (SST) requirements.
・ Possessing working knowledge of SST regulations, including tax implications on procurement and supplier transactions.
・ Mentor and train junior members of the Purchasing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓ Minimum 8 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably have experience in the plastics industries.
✓Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers from Taiwan and China.
✓Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with vendors.
✓Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
✓Good understanding of supply chain management and inventory control best practices.
✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
