1. Overall Accounting & Finance Administration
・Manage full spectrum of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP),
Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
・Review and verify all payments with complete supporting documents within the
established payment cycle, including cheques, telegraphic transfers, bank drafts,
and petty cash.
・Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting journals, ledgers, and records of
financial transactions.
・Ensure all daily transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system - Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC).
・Prepare full set of monthly management accounts and ensure timely submission.
・Liaise closely with project teams to ensure timely submission of claims and
obtained proper financial recording.
・Coordinate and manage statutory audits, ensuring compliance and timely audit
clearance.
2. Cash Flow Management
・Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow reports, providing timely and accurate
analysis.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
・Handle all tax-related matters including:
- Annual tax computation
- Income tax submission
- Withholding tax compliance (added advantage)
・Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including
accounting, tax, legal, and secretarial obligations.
4. Company Secretarial & Corporate Administration
・Work closely with the company secretary on statutory filings, preparation of board
resolutions, and coordination of Board Meetings.
・Coordinate and ensure Transfer Pricing Documentation is properly maintained and
compliant.
5. Immigration & Expatriate Administration
・Manage immigration matters for expatriates, including work permit applications,
renewals, and terminations.
・Arrange expatriate accommodation and liaise with property agents on tenancy
agreements.
6. Liaison with External Parties
・Liaison with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary and other
statutory authorities.
7. Support for Japanese Advisors
・Prepare annual internal audit documentation based on checklists.
・Draft quarterly corporate performance reports.
・Plan and coordinate Japanese trainee schedules.
・Support expatriate arrangements including accommodation and tenancy
documentation
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓ Bachelor’s Degree or partial professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or
related fields.
✓ Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the construction
industry.
✓ Experience in handling a full set of accounts in the construction industry is highly
preferred.
✓ Experience in audit, taxation, or corporate finance will be an added advantage.
✓ Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
✓ Proficiency in the Japanese language (reading and writing) is an added advantage.
✓ Computer literate, with familiarity in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC)
accounting software. On-the-job training will be provided for candidates without prior
exposure.
✓ Meticulous, detail-oriented, strong in numerical analysis, and able to work independently
with minimal supervision
