We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Yakitori Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of yakitori preparation, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of a dynamic kitchen and contribute to the growth of a premium dining establishment.
・Lead the preparation and grilling of authentic yakitori skewers
・Develop and update the yakitori menu based on seasonal ingredients
・Manage kitchen staff, scheduling, and training
・Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
・Monitor inventory and control food costs
・Collaborate with management on restaurant operations and culinary direction
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCERequired
✓at least 5 years experience as a yakitori chef or izakaya restaurant chef
✓Mastery of charcoal grilling (especially binchotan) and skewering techniques
✓Leadership experience in a professional kitchen
✓Strong understanding of Japanese culinary culture
✓Excellent organizational and communication skills
✓New menu development
✓ability to educate team member
